Victoria Falls is a must-see natural wonder, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is the largest falling sheet of water on earth and is the perfect addition to a Zimbabwean safari.
Victoria Falls is shared between Zambia and Zimbabwe, each side has its own unique appeal but both have a range of exclusive stays on offer along the banks of the Zambezi, in the quaint surrounding towns, or even on private islands.
Zimbabwe has a much larger proportion of the falls than Zambia, and consequently offers a wider selection of viewpoints. The scenic Zambezi is lined with riverine forest and backed by the 56,000 hectare Zambezi National Park. Many lodges along the river offer the chance to spot a variety of wildlife on game drives and walking safaris within their own private reserves, as well as sundowner cruises and river safaris.
The town of Victoria Falls also offers a variety of pulse-raising activities like white water rafting and bungee jumping or perhaps take to the skies for an unforgettable helicopter flight over the Falls.
